Change to business plan

joylbedford

I hinted on Instagram that there was a change coming to my business. I am still offering hypnobirthing classes in fact I qualified at the weekend. I am now in a position to start the baby massage course and will also be looking into an aromatherapy course. The change is to my everyday job as a community midwife.

I love being a midwife but I don't love being a midwife in the NHS. I adore my clients love seeing them flourish into new parents. I also love my colleagues and have no problems going to work. What I don't love is how medicalised childbirth has become. It's as if no one trusts a woman's body to do the very job it was created for (among many other things of course ladies). There is far too much intervention, too many unnecessary inductions and too many caesarians. We actually do not have time to be with woman, too many women on our caseloads, too many visits, not enough continuity.

So for this reason I have decided to become an independent midwife working with ZEST midwives. Over the next few days I will be changing my website to reflect this.

I will be offering complete packages of care from booking, all antenatal care, birth either at home or in hospital and postnatal care.

Just antenatal care packages.

Just postnatal packages.

One off appointments either antenatal/postnatal.

Shorter packages from 34weeks including birth and postnatal care.

Caesarian section packages.

Hypnobirthing

Aromatherapy

Birth pool and TENS hire.

All prices will be on the website in the next week and all care packages will be bespoke to meet the woman and her families needs. Let's put you at the centre of your care.

Taking bookings now please message to book an appointment to see if I'm a good fit for you.

This model of working fits my idea of midwifery as I want to practice it and as you deserve it to be.

I look forward to supporting you in your dream births ♥️❤️
