Who am I and what is this website about

Hi my name is Joy I've been a midwife for 28 years and a community midwife for 8 years. Being a midwife is the best job in the world and I am very much about normality, low risk physiological birth is what I love the most.

My passion is empowering women to have confidence in their body to birth their baby in the best way for them, whatever that may be. I want to show women that by using relaxation and self hypnosis they can actually enjoy birth and welcome their baby into the world in a peaceful calm environment. I also wish to give birth partners the confidence to support their partners without fear whilst understanding their own special role in the birthing process.

My classes will teach about the process of labour birth while also teaching tools to make birth manageable and an empowering process.

More about me. I am married to Miles and have 3 adult children. Marcus is 28 and twins Piers and Lydia are 20. Marcus and Piers have autism and Piers also has ADHD. They still live at home. Lydia is at university as a student nurse. She is in her 3rd year.

I also have 3 fur babies Remus the German Shepherd, Myrtle the Cocker spaniel and Dudley the Syrian hamster.

My hobbies include dance, tap, ballet, lyrical, modern, jazz, and Street dance. I perform in a show every year. I also love reading, and am very into self development, manifesting and law of attraction. I enjoy holidays in our touring caravan and walks with the dogs. I also enjoy a glass of wine or pint of beer. I love meeting friends in a coffee shop. My favourite season is autumn. I have an issue with collecting notebooks, journals, pretty pens and other stationary.
